Based on the spec C which has the most aggressive specifications among the GVB WRX STI 4-door sedan series, the WRX STI tS TYPE RA is an STI road car created to maximize the attractiveness of the spec C by focusing on the concept of ‘sharpness’. It features components with original STI specifications in its lightweight body, exterior, interior and chassis. The car’s Quick Steering Gearbox with a steering gear ratio of 11:1 succeeding the World Rally car, and Brembo 6POT front brakes are added, making this model true to its name as a TYPE RA which stands for “Record Attempt”. Like other STI road cars, specially designed front and rear dampers and coil springs are combined with POTENZA RE070 tires and STI Flexible series body parts have been incorporated into this model. Further, a pillow ball bush rear suspension link has been applied to realize what STI calls the “flexible yet elegant driving feel’. A special body color of Tangerine Orange Pearl is available and black-painted 18-inch aluminum wheels and door mirrors complete the model’s exterior identity.
