Based on the SUBARU XV HYBRID 2.0iL EyeSight and featuring a 2.0-L horizontally opposed DOHC and motor along with a Lineartronic AWD, and with the concept of ‘Enjoy Driving Hybrid’, the SUBARU XV HYBRID tS is a road car which provides an STI pleasurable performance with added special features in the exterior and interior. The kinetic performance of this car has been refined by incorporating the know-how accumulated in the development of previous STI road cars. In order to achieve a flat and flexible driving feel with less pitching, high rigidity clamp stiffeners have been installed in addition to the usual Flexible Tower Bar, Flexible Draw Stiffeners Front, and the combination of the specially tuned dampers and coil springs to decrease delay in steering response time by about 15%, roll rate by about 6%, and pitch rate by about 8%(results of STI in-house experiments, compared with a base car), which increases steering stability and ride comfort. As for safety features, in addition to the standard installation of EyeSight (version 2), the Advanced Safety Package consisting of the SUBARU Vehicle Detection and High Beam Assist systems can be selected as a manufacturer-installed option. As for the interior, the seats combine genuine leather with the STI logo, ultra-suede (black), synthetic leather (orange), and tricot (ivory) color coordinated with orange stitching to strengthen the casual sporty atmosphere. For the exterior, an orange pinstripe highlights the STI front spoiler, STI side under spoilers and roof end spoiler. Furthermore, an STI sports muffler is provided as an STI installation option.
