The Forester tS featured STI original add-ons to the base model, the Forester S-Edition, to enhance driving performance. This model was designed for superior handling allowing all passengers, including those in the rear to feel comfort, all of this despite being an SUV with a high vehicle height and centre of gravity. In addition to STI tuned front and rear dampers and coil springs, which lowered the vehicle height by 15 mm, as well as a Flexible Tower Bar and Flexible Support Rear, this model was also equipped with a Flexible Draw Stiffener Rear and other similar components. Further, details such as bushings were also carefully tuned to achieve a ‘flexible yet elegant driving feel’, which was extremely suitable for the SH Forester. A half-bumper type front spoiler, STI 17-inch aluminium wheels, sport muffler, black interior trim, special door trim panel, leather and Alcantara seats, side sill plates with the familiar ‘tS’ logo, a steering wheel with the STI logo, a gear shift knob, a 240 km/h combination meter, push engine switch, and other accessories were fitted, all adding colour to the atmosphere of sporty driving.
